Is TAQLEED Compulsory????

T A Q  L E E D

TAQLEED is to ACT upon the stateMent of soMeone,
whose stateMent "Does NOT contain ANY EVIDENCE", rather
"it is WITHOUT EVIDENCE".
> Tayseer at-Tahreer
(AMir Bukhari).

Shaikh ShaMee Hanafi:
Taqleed is to take the stateMent of soMeone,
"Without KNOWING the EVIDENCE".
> Aqood RasM al-Mufti, page no 23.

'Following of One',
whose Following is "NOT based on PROOF & DOES NOT RELY upon Knowledge".
> Abu Ma'ali al-Juwayni.

TAQLEED in itself
is an Innovation(BIDDAT),
which started in LATTER tiMes,
as we know there were 'NO Madhabs' during the era of the Sahaba(RA).
> E'qaaz HuMaM al-Absaar, pg 74.
(Fulani).

TAQLEED is a forM of SHIRK, coz
at its Core is
"a DENIAL of a Part of the Revelation".
To Deny a Single Ayat,
is to DENY IT ALL.

TAQLEED
by its defination is,
FOLLOWing soMebody BLINDLY,
"WITHOUT EVIDENCES". (froM QURAN &
SUNNAH)

ITTEBAA-> FOLLOW.

"Allazeena YATTABIoona al-Rasula.. .. ..wa ITTABAoo al-noora..".

Those who FOLLOW MuhaMMad(SAW) &
FOLLOW the Light(Quran)
are the SUCCESSFUL.
> Araf(7):157.

ITAA'AT-> OBEY.

"Atiullaha wa atioo al-Rasul".
O u who Believe,
OBEY Allah &
OBEY the Messenger(SAW).
> MuhaMMad(47):33.

TAQLEED is HARAAM
as it warrants a person to Follow,
WITHOUT the Need for EVIDENCE.

To FOLLOW & OBEY Allah's Messenger(SAW) is a PROOF in Itself.

He(SAW)speaks NOT of his OWN Desire.
It is an INSPIRATION that is INSPIRED.
> NajM(53):3-4.

Who want us to Practice TAQLEED?

What does Allah,
Prophet(SAW),
Sahaba(RA),
Tabi'een(Rh),
Aa'iMMa(Rh),
Hanafi scholars say abt TAQLEED?

FOLLOW,
what has been sent down unto u froM ur Lord
- QURAN,
- Prophet's(SAW) SUNNAH;
& follow NOT ANYONE ELSE besides HiM.
> Araf(7):3.

Say [O MuhaMMad(SAW)];
If u "TRULY Love Allah",
then Follow ME(SAW).
> IMraan(3):31.

It is NOT fitting for a BELIEVER, Man or WoMan;
when a Matter has been
"DECIDED by ALLAH & HIS MESSENGER(SAW)",
to have ANY option abt THEIR Decision;
If Anyone DISOBEYS Allah & His Messenger(SAW),
he is Indeed on a CLEARLY WRONG PATH.
> Ahzab(33):36.

Make NOT 'the Calling of the Messenger(SAW)' aMong u,
as UR Calling of One Another.
> Noor(24):63.

Note that the Calling of People towards "MADHHABs/ SILSILAs/ JAMAATs/ PEERs/ MURSHIDs/ MULLAHs",
(CONTRADICTING the TRUTH)
is NOT the SaMe as calling towards QURAN & SUNNAH.

And "Allah TEACHES u".

Allah is KNOWING of ALL things.
> Baqarah(2):282.

Allah TEACHES us through,
- QURAN &
- Prophet MuhaMMad(SAW)'s Ways(SUNNAH).

And Follow NOT,
that of which u have "NO Knowledge".
> Isra(17):36.

And when it is said to theM,
"FOLLOW that which ALLAH has sent down".
They say- "NO,
we SHALL follow that
which we found our FATHERS following".
> LuqMan(31):21.

But NO, by ur Lord,
they can have "NO FAITH",
until they Make you O MuhaMMad(SAW),
'JUDGE in ALL Disputes' b/n theM &
find in theMselves 'NO Resistance against Your(SAW) Decisions' &
Accept theM with FULL SubMission.
> Nisa(4):65.

So to SAVE our IMAAN,
Allah WARNS us to 'Follow & Refer' EVERYTHING,
ONLY to Prophet MuhaMMad(SAW) &
NOBODY else.
(NO IMaM/Peer/Murshid).

-Save ur IMaan,
-Not Waste ur AaMal.

Allah says;
O u who Believe!
OBEY Allah &
OBEY the MESSENGER(SAW).
Render NOT Vain ur Deeds.
> MuhaMMad(47):33.

Invite All to
"the way of ur RABB".
> Nahl(16):125.

But ppl today,
Invite others;
=to the way of their Peers(SILSILAs) {Barelwi/Sufi}
=to the way of their JaMaats{Tablighi};
Away froM "the way of our Rabb".

Say[O MuhaMMad(SAW)];
This is MY way.
I DO Invite unto ALLAH,
with SURE Knowledge.
I & whoever follows Me,(Must also Invite others to ALLAH,
with SURE KNOWLEDGE).
> Yusuf(12):108.

In IslaM's naMe,
Barelwi/Sufi,
Peers & Murshids,
Invite ppl to THEIR Way(TARIQAT)
with FALSE & INVENTED 'Beliefs & CustoMs',
LEAVING his(SAW)Ways.
Now there can be
NO More than ONE Way
after MuhaMMad(SAW).

U have indeed,
'in the MESSENGER of Allah(SAW)',

a BEAUTIFUL Pattern of Conduct,
for ANYONE whose hope is in Allah & Final Day.
> Ahzaab(33):21.

Those who behave Arrogantly on the Earth,
in DEFIANCE of RIGHT;
then I will turn away froM My signs;
and even if they SEE
All the Signs,
they will NOT BELIEVE in HiM;
And if they SEE
the Way of Right Conduct,
they will NOT ADOPT it as the Way,
but if they SEE
the Way of ERROR,
they WILL ADOPT IT;
for they REJECTED Our signs,
& Failed to take warning froM theM.
(Turn BLIND)
> Araf(7):146.

And Preferred the LIE of this world,
by FOLLOWING his EVIL DESIRES & LUSTS.
> Naaziat(79):38.

We are left with ONLY 2 Options, either FOLLOW;
- the WAY of Our Beloved Prophet(SAW) or
- the Way of Our EVIL DESIRES.

Follow the BEST IDEAL on Earth, i.e
- Prophet MuhaMMad(SAW)
{> Ahzab(33):21}
& NO ONE else,
{> Araf(7):3}
or Follow ur OWN DESIRE.
{> Naaziat(79):38}.

Say,O MuhaMMad(SAW)!
Verily this is MY STRAIGHT Path,
so FOLLOW it
& Follow NOT OTHER Paths,
for they will SEPARATE u froM Allah's Path.
> AnaaM(6):153.

Truly My Lord has Guided ME to a STRAIGHT Path,
the RIGHT Religion.
> AnaaM(6):161.

And if u OBEY,
Most of THOSE ON EARTH(by FOLLOWING ur Own DESIRES),
they will MISLEAD u FAR away,
froM Allah's Path(TRUTH).
They Follow NOTHING but CONJECTURES &
they do NOTHING but LIE.
> AnaaM(6):116.

And Incline NOT towards,
THOSE WHO DO WRONG.
Lest the FIRE touch u &
u have NO PROTECTORS other than Allah,
nor u would then be Helped.
> Hud(11):113.

When its said to theM,
FOLLOW what ALLAH has SENT DOWN;
They say:NO!
We shall Follow
what our FATHERS followed.
Even though their Fathers
DID NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING,
nor were they GUIDED.
> Baqarah(2):170.

When it is said to theM,
'CoMe to what Allah has Revealed & unto the Prophet(SAW)'
They say:
ENOUGH is for us,
that which we found our FATHERS FOLLOWING,
even though their Fathers had
-NO Knowledge WHATSOEVER &
-NO GUIDANCE.
> Maeda(5):104.

NO! they say;
We found our FATHERS following a certain Way & Religion;
We GUIDE OURSELVES by THEIR Footsteps.
We sent not a warner b4 YOU(SAW)to any town,
the luxurious aMong theM said:
We found our FATHERS following a Certain Way & Religion.
We WILL indeed Follow THEIR Footsteps.
> Zukhruf(43):22-23.

They only 'FOLLOW their OWN LUSTS'.
And who is More ASTRAY than,
'the One who Follows his OWN LUSTS',
WITHOUT Guidance froM Allah?
Verily! Allah Guides NOT the ppl who are ZaaliMoon.
> Qasas(28):50.

Have YOU{O MuhaMMad(SAW)} seen hiM,
who has taken as his GOD,his
OWN DESIRE?
"Would YOU(SAW) then be a Wakil(a Protecting Guide) over hiM?"
Or do u think that Most of theM
HEAR or UNDERSTAND?
They are Only like Cattle;
Nay, they are EVEN FARTHER ASTRAY froM the Path.
> Furqaan(25):43-44.

(DESIRE/LUST->
-An ACT,
-A BELIEF,
-A WILL,

-A WISH,
-A PRACTICE etc
NOT AUTHORISED by Allah in IslaM;
but rather 'INVENTED by FALSE people.

Leaving Nabi(SAW)'s way
->
Following other way(LUST)
->
Following OWN Lust
->
ZaaliM
->
NO Guidance
->
BLIND
->
Hell:-).

Know they not,
that whoever OPPOSES & shows HOSTILITY to Allah & His Messenger(SAW),
Certainly for hiM will be the Fire of Hell to abide therein.
That is the ExtreMe DISGRACE.
> Tawba(9):63.

TURN back,
in Repentance to HIM(QURAN),
Establish Regular Prayers;
& be NOT u,
aMong those who,
SPLIT up & becoMe SECTS,
each party Rejoicing in that which is with itself.
> RooM(30):31-32.

And be NOT as those,
who DIVIDED & differed aMong theMselves after the Clear PROOF had coMe to theM.
> IMran(3):105.

And Surely,
We have created Many of the Jinns & MANKIND for HELL.
They have hearts wherewith
they UNDERSTAND NOT,
they have Eyes wherewith
they SEE NOT,
& they have Ears wherewith
they HEAR NOT
- The TRUTH.
> Araf(7):179.

BecoMe BLIND by theMselves.

Their Hearts are BLIND froM Understandin
g the QURAN.
> MuMinoon(23):63.

They are Deaf,DuMb & BLIND.
So they Return NOT to the RIGHT Path.
> Baqarah(2):18.

O MuhaMMad(SAW)!
U CANNOT Guide the BLIND froM their straying,
u can Make to hear ONLY those
who BELIEVE in our AYATS &
have subMitted to ALLAH as MUSLIMS.
> RooM(30):53.

And NOT Equal are
-the BLIND &
-those who SEE.
> Ghafir(40):58.

If a Rebellious Evil Person coMes to u with a News,
"VERIFY it",
lest u HarM people in Ignorance &
afterwards u becoMe Regretful to what u have done.
> Hujraat(49):6.

Allay says:
Say, O MuhaMMad(SAW)!
"Produce ur PROOF if u are TRUTHFUL."
> Baqarah(2):111.

Allah DEMANDS,
"Verification with Proof" froM the QURAN & SUNNAH
before Following.

NOT BLINDNESS.

Our RASOOL(SAW) addressed the people in his FAREWELL HAJJ:
O People,
I have left aMongst u TWO things,
which if u Cling onto,
U will NEVER go Astray-
1- The Book of Allah &
2- My SUNNAH.
> HaakiM 1/93,
> Baihaaqi 10/114.

When I coMMand u by a coMMand,
then Follow it as Much as u are able.
> MusliM, 6/29.

Indeed,
the 'BEST SPEECH' is
- the BOOK of ALLAH;
the 'BEST GUIDANCE' is
- the GUIDANCE of MuhaMMad(SAW).
> MusliM 1885;
> Nasai'i 1487.

He who Obeys ME[MuhaMMad (SAW)],
OBEYS Allah.
He who DISOBEYS ME,
Disobeys ALLAH.
> Bukhari 4:52:204.

MuhaMMad(SAW) said:
I ORDER u to
- STICK to MY SUNNAH &
- the Way of the RIGHTLY GUIDED KHALIFAS(RA)after Me.
> AhMad 4/126-127,
> TirMidhi 2676,
> Dawood 4607.

Not the WRONGLY Guided SOOFIS.

Jabir bin Zayd(Rh)said:
Abdullah Ibn UMar(RA)once told Me;

so people will question u about Masaail.
Beware! Do NOT Opine froM OTHER THAN,

> DaariMi; 1/54.

Mu'aaz bin Jabal(RA):
The way an AaliM

# Shah Waleeullah Muhaddith Dehlwee:
The General People THESE days,
are seen to be 'Adherent to a PARTICULAR MADHHAB'
of the EARLIEST Scholars. They THINK that,
if a person LEAVES his MADHAB of the IMaM;
then it is, as if he Left his Religion.
So they consider their IMaMs to be PROPHETS
& hold it OBLIGATORY for hiM
to do TAQLEED of the IMaM.
Whereas the people of this UMMah
before the Fourth(4th)Century were NOT Adherent to any Particular Madhab.
> At-TafhiMat al-Aalhiyyah; 1/206.

# Mulla Alee Qaaree Hanafi:
Allah has NOT OBLIGATED upon Anyone,
that he becoMe a Hanafee, Shaafi'ee, Maalikee or a Hanbalee.
Rather Allah has OBLIGATED Action upon the SUNNAH of our Beloved Messenger(SAW) upon EVERYONE.
> Sharh Ain-al-IlM; pg 326.

SINGLING out One PARTICULAR IMaM
and doing his TAQLEED
and thus Accepting ALL of his Opinions & Ijtihaad as one's Religion is "HaraaM in IslaM".

The Consequence of which is
- Danger of being away froM a Great Majority(Greater part)of IslaM.

If Taqleed was a 'RecoMMended Act',
then it would have Most DEFINITELY Existed in the
'Period of the BEST GENERATIONS',
and the Sahaba(RA) would have been MUQALLIDEEN &
Taqleed would have been 'CustoMary during THAT tiMe'.

In the history of IslaM,
there has Not been a SINGLE Scholar froM the Best Three Generations,
who did TAQLEED(Followed BLINDLY
withoM,
then it cannot be part of DEEN.

People of Hadith

The People of hadith:
 (Arabic: Ahl al-ḥadīth; أهل الحديث) or (Aşḥāb al-ḥadīth; أصحاب الحديث) is an Islamic reformist movement. The term Ahl al-Hadith refers to the adherent's belief that they are not bound by taqlid (as are Ahl al-Rai, literally "the people of rhetorical theology"), but consider themselves free to seek guidance in matters of religious faith and practices from the authentic hadith which, together with the Qur'an, are in their view the principal worthy guide for Muslims. The term Ahl al-Hadith is often used interchangeably with the term Salafi, and proponents prefer to call themselves Salafis, although they are often called Wahhabis by their adversaries.

History:

Early proponents ascribe the authority of Ahl al-Hadith to specific hadith of Muhammad al-Bukhari. Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani mentioned the people of hadith in his commentary of the hadith, "And this nation will continue, established upon Allah's command, unharmed by those who oppose them until the arrival of Allah's order." He stated that Muhammad al-Bukhari was adamant that those referred to in this hadith were the people with knowledge of the narrations, Ahl al-Athar, i.e. the people of hadith. And then quoted Ahmad ibn Hanbal as saying, "If they are not Ahl al-Hadith, then I do not know who they are." Qadi Ayyad explained that Ahmad was referring to Ahl al-Sunnah and those who share the beliefs of the people of hadith.

The followers of the Ahl al-Hadith movement claim their beliefs and practices to be the same as those of early Muslims and, in particular, the Rashidun (rightly guided caliphs). The movement rose to prominence in the 9th century AD during the Abbasid era to counter the beliefs of Mutazilities. They again drew attention in the post-Mongol era, when Ibn Taymiyyah (1263–1328) started a reformist movement to purge the Islamic community of deviant beliefs.

Noting the academic prowess of the people of hadith, Al-Dhahabi asked the question, "Where is the knowledge of hadith, and where are its people?" Answering his own question, he said, "I am on the verge of not seeing them except engrossed in a book or under the soil."

Muhammad al-Bukhari

Muhammad Ibn Ismail Ibn Ibrahim Ibn al-Mughirah Ibn Bardizbah al-Bukhari (Persian/Arabic: محمد بن اسماعيل بن ابراهيم بن المغيرة بن بردزبه البخاري), popularly known as Al-Bukhari (Arabic: البخاري‎) or Imam Bukhari, (194/810—256/870), was a famous Sunni Islamic scholar of Persian ancestry.[2][3] He was, perhaps, best known for authoring the hadith collection named Sahih Bukhari, a collection which Sunni Muslims regard as the most authentic of all hadith compilations and the most authoritative book after the Qur'an.

Biography

Early life:

He was born in 810/194 in the city of Bukhara,Persia (in what is today Uzbekistan). His father, Ismail Ibn Ibrahim, was a known hadith scholar who died while he was young.

The historian, al-Dhahabi described his early academic life:

He began studying hadith in the year 205. He memorized the works of [‘Abdullah] ibn al-Mubaarak while still a child. He was raised by his mother because his father died when he was an infant. He traveled with his mother and brother in the year 210 after having heard the narrations of his region. He began authoring books and narrating hadith while still an adolescent. He said, “When I turned eighteen years old, I began writing about the Companions and the Followers and their statements. This was during the time of ‘Ubaid Allah ibn Musa (one of his teachers). At that time I also authored a book of history at the grave of the Prophet at night during a full moon.

Travels:

At age of sixteen, he, together with his brother and widowed mother made the pilgrimage to Makkah. From there he made a series of travels in order to increase his knowledge of hadith. He went through all the important centres of Islamic learning of his time, talked to scholars and exchanged information on hadith. It is said that he heard from over 1,000 men, and learned over 700,000 traditions, both authentic and rejected ones.

After sixteen years' absence he returned to Bukhara, and there drew up his al-Jami' al-Sahih, a collection of 7,275 tested traditions, arranged in chapters so as to afford bases for a complete system of jurisprudence without the use of speculative law.

His book is highly regarded among Sunni Muslims, and considered the most authentic collection of hadith (a minority of Sunni scholars consider Sahih Muslim, compiled by Bukhari's student Imam Muslim, more authentic). Most Sunni scholars consider it second only to the Qur'an in terms of authenticity. He also composed other books, including al-Adab al-Mufrad, which is a collection of hadiths on ethics and manners, as well as two books containing biographies of hadith narrators (see isnad). It is said that his collection of hadith became sort of an obsession of his. He used all of his money to travel, and never became wealthy.

Last years:

In the year 864/250, he settled in Nishapur. It was in Neyshābūr that he met Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj. He would be considered his student, and eventually collector and organiser of hadith collection Sahih Muslim which is considered second only to that of al-Bukhari. Political problems led him to move to Khartank, a village near Samarkand where he died in the year 870/256

School of thought:

Ibn Taymiyyah was asked whether Bukhari was qualified to deduce his own conditions in jurisprudence, not blindly following any of the Imams, or was he a blind follower. He responded that Bukhari was "an imam in jurisprudence, from those capable of deducing his own rulings, 'min ahl al-ijtihad.'"

His theological position was conservative. He is recorded as being both anti-Mu'tazili and anti-Rafidhi. In one of his books on creed, he wrote: “I don’t see any difference between praying Salah behind a Jahmi or a Rafidhi and a Christian or a Jew. They (Jahmiyyah/Rāfida) are not to be greeted, nor are they to be visited, nor are they to be married, nor is their testimony to be accepted, nor are their sacrifices to be eaten.”
